Subject: Intercepted Relay // Unknown Origin
Status: Encrypted payload partially decrypted and traced
Log:
An unregistered broadcast was intercepted on a defunct relay frequency — one not listed in any Langley archive.
I wasn’t looking for anything important. Honestly, I thought it was just another echo from a decommissioned Cold War tower. An "echo_from_the_tower", as I wrote in my notes.
But the moment I ran it through my decoder, something felt off. Like I’d heard this distortion before…
The numbers repeat, but they’re layered — like they’ve passed through something. Or someone.
I triangulated the origin. It led to a site I now call STATION BETA — totally off-grid. Place looks like whoever was using it left in a hurry. Equipment still warm.
I went there myself. Had to hike through half-collapsed tunnels and overgrowth to even find the entrance. Inside, it was worse — dust on everything, but the signal router was still blinking like it had just pinged something. No signs of life, but I swear the microphone array clicked on when I spoke. Like something was listening.
I’m not saying it’s a message meant for me.
But I am saying it sounded familiar.
